StarBright XLT is a revolutionary optical coating system which outperforms coatings used on competing catadioptric telescopes. All of Celestron’s Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD telescopes utilize this custom-engineered coating technology. The StarBright XLT coating system comprises of high-transmission coatings for every lens surface, and high-reflectivity coatings for every mirror surface. This ensures maximum light throughput for the telescope, which yields brightest images.
