The AVALON INSTRUMENTS is a DAL SASSO Srl trademark born as a company branch devoted to the production of innovative and high quality products in the field of amateur astronomy.

DAL SASSO Srl company is operating since more then 30 years in the field of precision mechanics, construction of molds and tools for the molding of plastics materials.

It has its headquarter in Aprilia, Latina, Italy, a staff of over 50 people and owns an innovative technology based on CAD-CAM and CNC machines that makes it a national reference point in its field.

The new company branch is born from the passion for astronomy of Luciano Dal Sasso, founder and owner of Dal Sasso srl. In the last 15 years, he spent most of his spare time doing astrophotography and binocular astronomical observations.

His experience as a manufacturer of astronomycal equipment began in 1997 with the creation of Binoscopes marketed under the brand Astromeccanica and continued for nearly a decade with the production of innovative accessories such as the use of the first toothed belts motor kit for equatorial mounts, superlight aluminum columns, and other interesting accessories.

With the brand AVALON INSTRUMENTS the Dal Sasso Srl re-enter finally in the field of astronomy launching a world premiere: the Linear and M-uno mounts, fully realized with pulleys and toothed belts transmission, showing surprising performances!
