With the Remote Switch OMS-Nano V3, you can remotely turn your 10Micron mount on and off, and optimize your astronomical observations from anywhere.
The Remote Switch V3 for 10Micron Mounts with Control Box V3 is part of Baader's OMS (Observatory Management System) product line and is named "OMS-Nano". It is the smallest unit currently available to make an observatory remotely operable.
10Micron has updated the hardware of the electronic control box. From now on, all 10Micron mounts will be shipped with the new Version 3 Control Box as standard.
The Remote Switch is perfect for permanent installation in an observatory. For reasons of failure safety, Baader has placed great emphasis on a safe standard. The module can be connected to the same LAN network as the mount. After installation, the module can be accessed in the network via the assigned IP address using any web browser. The OMS-Nano is preconfigured to be used directly for a 10Micron mount. All cables are prefabricated and enclosed. In addition, Baader has written an instruction manual, which provides detailed guidance on using the OMS-Nano with a 10Micron mount.
Optionally, you can connect the switch module to your computer using the USB cable to configure the network settings or to import firmware updates. For normal operation, a connection via the network cable is sufficient.
The OMS-Nano replaces the function of the ON/OFF rocker switch with a push button and sends a signal for a few seconds rather than continuously.
