40MM ED F/6.25 DUAL PURPOSE H-ALPHA SOLAR PROMINENCE / WHITE LIGHT SUNSPOT TELESCOPE

The revolutionary Acuter LUMA-X 40ED represents a remarkable level of specification and performance at its price level and includes ground breaking, world-first innovations such as as a square telescope tube design and an exclusive dual-switch diagonal system that allows the telescope to seamlessly transition from an H-Alpha solar prominence telescope to a white light solar telescope for the observation of sunspots. The telescope contains one ED glass lens element which helps enhance the image sharpness and contrast, as well as improve colour accuracy and details.

The Acuter LUMA-X 40ED is a safe solar telescope equipped with a 40mm aperture front mounted Etalon for the observation of active solar prominences and other solar details in the H-alpha band, with a performance of 0.6 Angstrom or better.

When viewing the Sun in the narrow H-alpha bandwidth, the observer is rewarded with thrilling, awe-inspiring real-time views of our nearest star in it's full fiery majesty, seething with activity, revealing exciting details such as solar flares, prominences, spicules, surface granularity, sun spots and more!

Supplied with a universal smartphone camera adaptor to take photos using your smartphone to keep a photographic record of your observations.

The Acuter LUMA-X 40ED conforms to and meets the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015 (Filters for the direct observation of the Sun). Always use in accordance with the instructions.

Safety Information

Please exercise extreme caution when observing the Sun. Improper usage and practices can result in serious and even permanent eye damage!

Also, the 8mm blocking filter in the removable eyepiece diagonal is part of the LUMA-X 40ED safety features. Do not use this telescope with any other type of diagonal for solar viewing.
