Simple polar alignment
The 2-degree incremental altitude scale and an optional compass let you know the direction of the celestial North Polar (or South Polar) Pole.
Motor-driven possible
The DD-3 dual axis hand controller is available for GP2 Mount. With the installation of the supplied MT-1 motors on the RA and DEC axes, the mount can automatically track celestial objects.
About the Unification of the Connection Specifications between Mount and Tripods (2nd image)
Historically, Vixen GP Mounts and Sphinx Mounts have used different tripods. Vixen has now created one tripod, the SXG Tripod, to fit all of these mounts. With this unification, a single common tripod is used for all the different mount types such as the GP equatorial and HF2 altazimuth fork mounts.
The new mounting base of the GP2/GPD2 mounts which fits the tripod head of the new SXG tripod is changed from 60mm to 45mm in diameter. The peg on the tripod head of the new SXG tripod can be positioned in place according to the mount types used. You will need optional adapters if you want to use the former GP2/GPD2 mount (60mm dia. mounting base) with the new SXG tripod, and if you want to have the GP/GPD2 mount with the new specifications (45mm dia. mounting base) fit the former tripods.
