​​The Vixen AP mount base is used to convert the Vixen AP and AP-SM mount to a full Vixen APZ altazimuth mount.
If you already own an Vixen AP or AP-SM mount, the parallactic mounts can be converted into an Vixen APZ mount with 8 kg load capacity in just a few steps. Thanks to the modular mounting system, any existing motor modules with controls can also be used.
The Vixen AP mount base has the same connection thread as your Vixen AP mount and can therefore be used on the same tripods.
