The 10Micron GM 1000 HPS EP (Enhanced Performance) mount is the next generation of the successful GM 1000 HPS model. This new mount is not a direct successor, but a further development of the proven GM 1000 HPS mount. Through targeted mechanical reinforcements, such as the strengthened RA and DEC axes and the improved bearings, it offers 20% more payload (30 kg) at almost the same total weight. This makes it the first choice for astrophotographers who are looking for the highest stability in the compact mount class.

The GM 1000 HPS EP achieves a Go-To speed of up to 15°/s, a positioning accuracy of 20", and a tracking accuracy of approximately ± 1" within 15 minutes (0.7" RMS). In mobile operation, the mount is faster and easier to set up and align than most conventional parallactic mounts.
