product description
Methane-Filter for Jupiter and Saturn
Another unique and pioneering filter from Baader Planetarium. For the first time, amateurs can now record Methane cloud structures on Jupiter and Saturn. The Baader Methane-Filter enables amateurs to successfully image in the deep IR, a spectral region normally inaccessible.
Please Note: The Baader Methane-filter is only applicable for imaging of Jupiter and Saturn with Webcam, Digital, DSLR and CCD cameras (Visual Observation is impossible, due to the eye's insensitivity to the IR). For successful Jupiter and Saturn imaging, we recommend the use of a IR sensitive astro CCD camera and at least a 5" telescope, or a webcam and 8" telescope.
